Affiliated Parties: Applications will be accepted 14 months in advance, beginning the first of each month. (i.e. Applications are accepted to the month, not the exact date.) Contracts will not be issued until 12 months in advance. You will be contacted in advance if a conflict arises.

Unaffiliated Parties: Applications will be accepted 12 months in advance, beginning the first of each month. (i.e. Applications are accepted to the month, not the exact date.)

Saturday and Sunday ceremonies are available.
Graham Memorial Chapel is not available for wedding ceremonies or rehearsals on the following days: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving week, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or the weekend of commencement.

Amenities

The following items are provided by Graham Chapel and may be decided up on at the wedding rehearsal:

  • Two candelabras
  • One unity candle holder
  • One set of double kneelers
  • Two tall pedestal tables
  • Two short pedestal tables
  • Two over-pew tables (approximately 3-feet square)
  • Chairs
  • Two pedestal podiums
  • House sound system with two microphones, CD player and IPod connection
  • Steinway Grand Piano
Use of university organ requires advance approval and is subject to availability. Couples who wish to use organ should indicate their intention on this application or contact Washington University’s wedding coordination team no later than 30 days prior to the intended ceremony. Guest organist require an application and approval by the university music department.

Understandings

The rental fee for Graham Chapel is $2,000, which is due upon application approval and execution of a wedding rental agreement.

Applications are reviewed on a weekly basis. Staff with Washington University’s wedding team will review applications in the order that they are received. An application does not guarantee approval. Please do not book travel or make plans until an application has been approved and a wedding agreement has been executed.
